Why a 3-bedroom villa beats a hotel room
If you're planning a Murcia golf holiday for a fourball, a family of five, or two couples travelling together, a 3-bedroom villa quietly wins on every metric that matters: cost per head, space, food flexibility, and the freedom to actually relax between rounds. Casa Sylvia is our private townhouse inside La Torre Golf Resort — a gated Polaris World community in Roldán, Murcia, built around a Jack Nicklaus Signature course.
Five people in a resort hotel is three double rooms plus three restaurant bills a day. Five people at Casa Sylvia is one price for the whole house, a full kitchen for breakfasts and post-round drinks on the terrace, and a communal pool ten metres from the gate.

Golf, ten minutes from the pillow
The La Torre course is a Jack Nicklaus Signature layout: 6,713 metres, par 72, with generous fairways off the tee and defended greens that reward accuracy over power. Green fees for guests staying inside the resort start around €55 in low season. From Casa Sylvia the clubhouse is a 3-minute buggy ride — or a very civilised 8-minute walk if you're travelling light.
Two more championship courses — Mar Menor Golf Resort (Nicklaus) and Roda Golf & Beach Resort (Dave Thomas) — are 10 and 15 minutes away respectively, so it's easy to build a 5-round, 3-course week without ever needing to check into a different hotel.
Space to actually holiday
The unspoken problem with golf-hotel holidays is what everyone does between the round and dinner. In a 3-bedroom villa, that gap looks like: pool, gin & tonic on the terrace, quick nap, then walk five minutes to the resort plaza for tapas. Nobody is stuck in a hotel lobby waiting for the group to reconvene.
Family-friendly angles
Half of our guests come as families, not fourballs. The twin room works for kids; the resort is pedestrianised inside the gates (parents love this); there are communal pools, padel and tennis courts, a Michelin-recommended restaurant at the clubhouse, and Terra Natura zoo, La Manga beaches, and Mar Menor watersports all inside a 30-minute drive. See our complete Murcia golf-holiday guide for a suggested week.
Getting there
Murcia International Airport (RMU) is 20 minutes away — the easiest choice, with direct Jet2, Ryanair, easyJet and TUI flights from most UK airports. Alicante (ALC) is about an hour north and often has cheaper mid-week flights. Both are simple; we're happy to arrange a private transfer for €55 one way.
What it costs
Rates start from €100/night in low season (Oct–Mar), €140/night in high season (Apr–Jun, Sep) and €170/night in peak months (Jul–Aug), plus a mandatory €110 cleaning fee per stay. Booking direct saves the 15–18% platform fees charged by Airbnb or Vrbo. Send an enquiry with your dates and party size and you'll have a personalised quote within the day.
Frequently asked questions
How many people does a 3-bedroom villa at Casa Sylvia sleep?
Casa Sylvia sleeps 5 across three bedrooms: a master with king-size bed, a double, and a twin. Two full bathrooms mean nobody queues for the shower on a golf morning.
Is the pool private or shared?
Casa Sylvia shares a beautifully maintained communal pool a short walk from the door. Pool 16 is the closest to the townhouse, and guests can also use the resort's other communal pools. In practice you'll often have it almost to yourselves outside July and August.
Can we get a group golf discount at the resort?
Yes. La Torre offers reduced green fees for groups of four or more when booked in advance. Send us your dates and party size and we'll share the current rate sheet with you.
How far is the nearest supermarket?
There's a Consum inside the resort (5 min walk), plus larger Mercadona and Lidl branches 10 minutes by car in Roldán and Torre-Pacheco.
Do you offer weekly discounts?
Stays of 7 nights or more get an automatic weekly rate, and 14+ nights unlocks our extended-stay pricing. Ask us for a custom quote — booking direct is always cheaper than Airbnb or Booking.com.
